Something to Live For

Just a quick little note today.

You will never be done.

You will never find yourself in a place where everything is absolutely perfect (unless you realise that every moment is perfect as it is).

You will never have it all worked out.

You will never stop learning and growing.

If you do, if you decide that you are and have everything you ever wanted... then you die.

I don't write this to scare anyone, only to help you realise that waiting for everything to be perfect or hoping for a time (ie: retirement) to finally relax is saying to yourself that when all is in place you will have finished your life and that's it.

When the energy of life, and love and discovery stop flowing, the body and mind start to break down and decay. If you have something to live for, you will live. If you don't...

So learn and grow forever!

You might be surprised at how tremendously long and happily you continue to live...

P.S. Here's something to ponder, read Bruce Lee's affirmation below (written in 1969, 3 years before his death at 33) and make up your own mind about how it changed his life:

"I, Bruce Lee, will be the highest paid Oriental superstar in the United States. In return I will give the most exciting performances and render the best of quality in the capacity of an actor. Starting in 1970, I will achieve world fame and from then onward till the end of 1980 I will have in my possession $10,000,000. Then I will live the way I please and achieve inner harmony and happiness." - The Bruce Lee Story by Linda Lee (his wife)
