Prime The Pump

What do you do when you have to write something and you don't know what to write?

You start writing.

Get your thoughts on paper or computer by opening the flow with whatever is there. Just like I'm doing right now. Unless you are in meditation or some kind of trance, there are always thoughts moving around in your head. So start by writing whatever's there.

Have you ever seen an old water pump?

Well, to get water you have to work that lever arm. You grab the handle and you start moving it up and down. At first nothing comes out, and you just keep pumping. Then, as the air pressure builds up, the water inside the well rises up higher and higher. You can't see it but you know it's coming. You might even hear it as it comes closer and closer to the surface. Then, a little bit of water comes out. It's usually dark or dirty water at first, not the kind that you would drink or clean things with. You have to clean out the junk in the pump first if it hasn't been used in a while. And to do that you keep pumping. And finally the water that comes out of that pump is clean and pure and exactly what you wanted.

What does this have to do with anything?

Well, the idea of "priming the pump" is a great one to keep in mind when working towards your dreams. It's important not to give up just because you don't see any results at first. Those are the first few pumps. Keep pumping. Keep moving forward. Keep all your focus on what you want. The energy of your desire will build up inside of you like the air pressure inside the pump. What you focus on will condense from an ephemeral figment of your imagination, into greater and greater materiality. Eventually, results will come into your life. The dream will manifest as your reality. It may not be perfect at first. The junk that's inside has to clean itself out first. Keep pumping. Keep moving forward. Continue until the pure water of your desire flows abundantly into your life.

If you have no idea where to start, just do whatever comes to mind. Start anywhere. Do something. Find the information you need to get moving in the right direction. And make whatever corrections you need to do along the way.

As multi-millionaire business coach Mike Litman always says, "you don't have to get it right, you just have to get it going".

Get going, get moving, start pumping now.

And remember, you can become anything you can imagine. Imagine the ideal man, or the ideal woman, and know that what you consider to be ideal is what you secretly are. It is who you really are, deep down inside. So go with it.

Who knows, the flow may be greater and more delicious than you ever imagined.

Get going, and keep going.

P.S. Hey, not bad for starting out without knowing what to write...right?
